Delphi's Charioteer. Made from a modified 'lost wax' method where the original was roughly sculpted in clay and then surrounded by a detailed layer of wax. This wax was then covered with another layer of clay. By melting down the wax and filling the resulting cavity with bronze, a hollow statue could be made.
