The Executive Board of US Water Polo has voted to adopt the rules passed at the FINA Extraordinary Conference in February 1996 effective June 26, 1996 for all USWP competition except the Olympics. The 1996 Rule Book is now available from United States Water Polo (USWPOffice@AOL.Com). An electronic version of the USWP rule book will be posted to this site within the next couple of weeks.
These are the 1996 Water Polo Rules incorporating ALL the rules as approved by the FINA Extraordinary Congress and EWPL special rules. These are the rules of the EWPL Summer 1996 competition. The EWPL rules are marked as such and are in italics. The rest of the rules are taken verbatim (typographical errors may remain) from the published FINA rules.
