Penance
 
i sat in a cage today
wire mesh peering through
all i could see were shadows
shadows of faces
glimmers of eyes
 
i knelt on the ground
and peered through the mesh
at a man's face
at a man's eyes
 
 
 
Oh Sweet
 
Oh sweet, my lady moon, circling in the dark’ning sky
How long I’ve sat here rev’ling at thy gentle silver light
Why then should there be tears pouring
Pouring down the trails of light
The trails of
 
Jaundice Eyes
 
I see through your perversion
I see through to your eyes in your soul
I see the spark like electricity to gasoline
The grime and the slime and the grit in the dirt
It’s under your nails seeped into
 
Icarus
 
soft innocence sweetly rising
exultation of the Heavens,
                jubilation of the Heavens,
sing the joy!

                sing the joy!
soaring higher,
        spinning higher,
                whirling higher,
                        
 
Cross-Eyed Bear
 
don't take away
my cross-eyed bear
with his nose worn away
and one ear on backwards
the seams full and stretching
the stuffing packed down
arms and legs flopping
fur stained and short
missing in
