Kutna Hora: Sedlec & Ossuary Chapel of All Saints

So what's the deal with this eerie if not outright disturbing set of pictures? Well, this 13th century abbot brought back some dirt from Jeruselem and scattered it on the graveyard, and suddenly everyone wanted to be buried here. That, coupled with the Black Death, brought the number of people burried above 30,000. In the mid 19th century, the monestary came into private ownership and in 1870, Frantisek Rint created the Halloween-esque display.
