February 24, 2008, 7:24 PM I spent a couple days last week writing a python script that parses exif info from a text file into HTML (and javascript). I'm considering writing python scripts to automate much of the coding of this site, both because I think it would be more efficient in the long and run and (my real reason) because I want to do more with python. I've also been toying with using frames, but decided not to due to supposed usability issues.

February 16, 2008 7:37 PM: Photos page finished to my satisfaction. Next: perhaps multiple photo pages (with iframes?), or a links page (I'm really itching to do this one). I'm also kinda itching to put together a database, possible for photos (right now, each photo takes a lot of manual coding) or this "blog". I absolutely detest people who make their entire web page a blog and then try (and fail) to manage everything through it. Blogs have a horrific interface which is usually both quite ugly and utterly impossible to navigate. On the other hand, I'm sure they're quite fun and I think they would make a good first database project.

Oh, and a code page might be appearing at some point in the not-so-distant future. Think java, python and javascript.

February 16, 2008: Photos page created. Most of the work was in figuring out how to align the images and finding the various scripts I used. Coming: more advanced image information and formatting, higher resolution images, and more of them.

February 15 (technically), 2008: Website updated. C'mon people! Ideas!

February 14, 2008: Website up and running. Check out the photos and music sections.
