Laryngeal Webbing Treatment
Treatment:
The general treatment for laryngeal webbing is surgery. An ENT simply cuts the laryngeal web, essentially freeing the two vocal folds. The webbing is prevented from reoccurring by the positioning of a vertical keel between the two folds. The keel is kept there until the healing has completed. The patient must maintain a vocal rest period during this time to allow proper healing.
