Perhaps because it is entirely human originating, the horror aspect of this monster podiobook is lacking when compared with EarthCore. However lacking in the monster horror aspect it might be, Ancestor will probably make you an "Ancest-whore" with its wide array of relatable characters. Like all of Scott Sigler's podcasted works (and as the banner of his website shows), this podiobook is not for those who are sickened by excessive blood, violence, and death.

I am actually listening to this podiobook as it is released. Honestly, I want to see (well, hear) if my name was chosen to be killed off in Sigler's latest contest. I figure as a user with a notable number (1234), I have a decent chance. Hopefully, I will get chosen for one of the books I actually listen to. Come to think of it, if not Nocturnal, the sequel to EarthCore would be nice.
