Finally, an update.

Ok, I'm probably not going to update these pages a whole lot, at least not until commercial Clan Lord comes out. I just haven't got the time. I've updated the fighting tips page a bit to reflect a few major changes that needed to be fixed up, but no huge additions.

I've got quite an impressive scrapbook built up, but all the pictures are uncropped, very large and most are pretty old. If anyone is interested in owning my collection, contact me. It's about 175 pictures worth. Of course, there's some shots I can't release, and I'd have to take them out, but the rest of them are still pretty nice. All I want is for someone to put up a nice scrapbook of all this stuff, but I simply don't have the time or desire to crop all these pictures and then do the HTML. Ick. If you do have that kind of time, you're welcome to it.

News from the thirty first day of the tenth month of the first year of exile:

Clan Lord has been down for a full day now, as the server is experiencing technical difficulties (see Delta Tao's Clan Lord page )

Updates have been scarce as I'm never sure if I'll have any free time to play, so when I do get free time, I spend it in Puddleby. Oh well.

BlueCross has a bunch of new music on his pagethat I really enjoy. Gaia even recommended it...what are you waiting for?

I updated the links page. Of note is Nohn's "Better Living Through Fast Feet". Not much new for older exiles, but I know many, many an exile who needs to read this guide.

News from the twenty ninth day of the ninth month of the first year of exile:

I can't connect to CL now because of 4 bad routers...100% packet loss for me. : (

Elenis Reyav has a set of alternate human male icons to replace the current ones. I like his modified version, it gets rid of that stupid hunchback that I hate. Tell Delta Tao on the newsgroup (comp.sys.mac.games.adventure) if you agree that these should replace the current set.

I added an older news section so the page doesn't take forever to load (at least, for those of you on modems and whatnot).

I've noticed a big increase in the number of scripters recently. This is pretty sad. Either play the game or don't. You either earn your ranks or you don't. It's that simple.
BTW, Same thing goes for people who beg me for money. I give money freely to those who help me (I gave BlueCross 2k the other day just because he always helps me), but if you beg, you probably won't get a single coin. I earned my money, so can you.

OOC: Still really busy at school and to top it all off, my HD crashed as after I installed my new one (doh!), thus flushing all those wonderful pics you guys sent me into the toilet. I'm going to attempt recovery this week. But I've been busy getting the new HD set up as a Boot disk, w/ the things I need for school, CL stuff, etc. Scrapbook final version will take awhile longer than I thought. : (

Several new Orga have shown their ugly one eyed faces to our citzens, the most foul being the Orga Warlocks. They invaded town a few days ago (me being their first victim, of course), followed by a very unsuccessful raid on the Orga Camp, as our citizens were pounded by Warlocks, Demonic Vermin and at least 5 orga Furies. Here's 2 pics of the initial attack: Me frozen in shock of seeing the Warlock lighting, then me dead as 3 more soon to be victims watch over me. Today, an intersting Greymyr came to visit me as I explored the Greymyr Village, a Greymyr Piper. Very odd.

Well, I bet you didn't expect to see this page updated.
Been very busy, moved back into school. Updates should come more often than in the 3 weeks (when I didn't have time for an update).
v41 just came out, I suggest you download it. I REALLY love the fact that monsters don't have names. It makes fighting harder, as you can't tell exacltly what you're fighting, you can't sp$ it from a mile away (vermin creep up on me all the time now), and you don't know it's health. I find battles more exciting now, and I love going onto Ash Island and wondering if there's a Marine, Scout or Blade confronting me. Althou$ it would be nice to see the monster's health, this really isn't as neccessary as people complain.
Scrapbook? uh...I'll get to it ASAP. Lots of school work, little time. I have a ton of pictures people have sent me, as well as quite a few of my own. I'll add them to the scrapbook next time I get a chance to work on it. Be patient, I like to play the game as well as maintain a page on it.
Hmmmm...Anything else? Anything you'd like me to comment on (second circle fighters, whatever) mail me.

v38 is pretty bad. I suffer from deafness, and the server is frequently restarted. I don't like it. However, the AI for several monsters has improved greatly. I like this a lot. I'm sick of stupid monster who blindly run towards you. Nice to see some hit and run tactics (ie: Ferals)

I took the FAQ down due to the blabbermouth policy set by Joe. I happen to agree with it (after a bit of thinking on the matter), so I'm taking it down. I'll probably edit the fighting tips page a bit so that it doesn't give away so much. Although I think the OOC part about swinging just once isn't such a big deal. That will probably stay. Well, there will be more updates soon, as I stop work for the summer this Friday.

News from the fifteenth day of the eighth month of the first year of exile:

Scrapbook will be updated today or tomorrow as well as a small addition to the FAQ. Oh, and if you haven't noticed, I lost my old icon (armour and cross). See that idiot in the blue shirt? It's probably me. I look incredibly stupid.

Small updates here and there. Big Reset tonight. I don't know how big it will actually be, but rumor has it, it will be large. Check DeltaTao's Page for the new version, around 12 PM EST.
Also, check out the next Zodiac Tribe Quest. They are always a blast (except when you have to pretend to be an NPC : ( j/k! It's actually quite fun watching everyone stumble over clues. heheh).

Not much time to update the site today. I'll be adding a few things Polerand suggested to the FAQ, then resume work on the scrapbook. Apparently it loads slowly for you low bandwith types (I'm on cablemodem currently, I wouldn't know ), so I'll be optimizing it for that. In the mean time, check out some of the images that will be used. Oh, and if you have a picture or a group of pictures you'd like me to put in my scrabook, send them to me.

In other news, Zodiac Tribe had a fun filled quest last night. It was our first, and basically a test run. We will be having another one tonight. I'll be sleeping, so good luck . That's all for now, check back around 6 or 7 PM EST tomorrow for more updates. Happy Hunting!

It's my birthday today. I'm 19. yay.

Just about done with the FAQ, you can look at it now. It's getting long winded, so I'm trying to cut it down without loosing what it's trying to say.

Interesting message from Joe on comp.sys.mac.games.adventure:

    If you appear to hang when trying to connect to Clan Lord version 36, wait it out. It will eventually connect or fail within five minutes, and if you force-quit it currently confuses the server, so nobody else can connect for a while.

So, uh, don't force quit. I noticed the night after v36 came out, we immediately had 100 something players. A few hours later, 18. Me thinks it is from people getting impatient and force-quitting. Wait it out, don't ruin other people's fun because you are frustrated. Walk away for five minutes. Watch TV or something. It's not the end of the world if you can't play ClanLord (okay, maybe it is...but don't forcequit!)

Argh, no FAQ for you! Not enough time recently...oh well. It will be up ASAP. If you didn't already know, ClanLord v36 is out. You can get it at DeltaTao's Page.

News from the third day of the eighth month of the first year of exile:

FAQ should be done and posted tonight. I joined Zodiac Tribe last night. (Yay!) Check out the site. Althought most of it isn't done yet, the Shockwave map thing is @$&*&^*%@# amazing!

Last night, I couldn't sleep, and found this page by Howrad of Delta Tao Software. It's an interesting description of "Digital Karma". Something you may have notice implemented in some game called..Clan Lord? Something like that. I think this page was written before the public testing began, and notice how basically everything Howrad predicts would happen in this proposed system, actually happens in the game. Makes you want to rethink how you spend your karma every day.

For those of you who use an mp3 player while playing Clan Lord (I normally fire up my 650 MB CD of mp3s), BlueCross has added mp3 versions of his popular (and damned good, IMHO) Clan Lord music. Check it out.

News from the twenty nineth day of the seventh month of the first year of exile:

I'm working on a FAQ Section...for things like "Where can I buy an axe?" or "What mirror takes me home?!?!?!?" or "Why shouldn't I attack the Greymyr?". If you have any questions you get asked all the time, send it to me and I'll put it in the FAQ. Then all you'll have to do to answer the question is reply with the URL.

I updated the Scrapbook, putting some stupid comments at the bottom of every picture! Yay! If you've got any screenshots you'd like to put up, send them to me and I'll put them up. Fighter page will hopefully include some etiquette rules soon. Today I had about 20 to 30 kills stolen from me, even after I kindly asked to take the monsters alone. I think an ettiquette handbook is in tall order. Again, send me anything you'd like to see in a fighters tips area. You will get due credit in any and all suggestions that I use. Oh, and I should have a counter up tomorrow sometime. So all 3 people who see this page can practice counting slowly

I recommend you visit Dances With T'rool's site. It has some very good tips, you just have to dig around for them . Check it out. It even has some nice pics of yours truly dying! That should be reason enough to visit.
