Sports In The Lodge

Sports play an important role in the life of the Brothers of Alpha Pi. This year 10 brothers have competed or are competing on various Union varsity teams with great success. However sports is not only for the serious competitor as this year Chi Psi has perhaps had their best showing in intramural sports as well. With the year not over it looks like it will be another great year of sports in the lodge.

Fall Intramural Sports

Soccer
The soccer team, behind strong goalkeeping from Aaron Swan was about to win the intramural championship. The final game was won by a goal scored by Evan Weiner.
3 on 3 Basketball
Falling just short in the championship game to Sigma Chi, the 3 on 3 basketball team stayed close the entire game but could not pull out the victory
8 Man Flag Football
Union College showed the college football may not be able to aviod controversy by using a playoff system to determine the champion. The lodge flag football team was told they will not be allowed to play in the playoffs because of a lesser tiebreaker. However many members of the flag football team believe that the calculation for the tie breaker was wrong causing many to cry foul.
