MISSION: To foster a spirit of entrepreneurship among its members and encourage business and private enterprise at Union College. To do this, we host a variety of events open to students and members of the campus community. These events range from influential speakers to business seminars. We recently hosted a series of seminars that focused on the procedural steps to formulating a business idea to putting it down on paper. We have approximately 45 active members. Through the networking of our club, we are able to provide students with the needed resources to achieve success in their business endeavors. The culmination of our efforts are demonstrated in the Annual Union College Business Plan Competition. For the competition, we solicit full, finance-able and viable business plans for review. With our highly qualified panel of judges, prizes are allotted to the competitors. Our main first prize is an all-expense paid trip for two to NYC, a night at the Cornell Club and lunch with the COO of Reuters, Deven Wenig (Union Alum). We have hosted two competitions thus far and both have resulted in tremendous success.
