January 23, 2007 Gary Cohen coming to Union Gary Cohen is the General Manager of AOL Music Now, AOL’s new web-based music subscription service. In this role, Mr. Cohen is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations of the AOL Music Now business, as well as identifying, and overseeing development and implementation of emerging business opportunities. As part of AOL’s Digital Media Services organization, Mr. Cohen also is responsible for AOL’s WinAmp media player, international initiatives and device integration. Mr. Cohen previously served as President of MusicNow, prior to AOL’s acquisition of the company from Circuit City in October 2005. Mr. Cohen founded MusicNow in 1999 and led the company in its fund raising and partnership initiatives, including establishing distribution deals with numerous Fortune 100 companies. Before founding MusicNow, Mr. Cohen was the founder of several organizations, including Sapean Corporation, a profitable international investment and consulting firm, and Cruise Technologies, the leading supplier of wireless network computers, where he served as chief operating officer. Along with being responsible for daily operations at Cruise, he established successful distribution partnerships with IBM, Motorola, Telos and Wyse Technologies. Mr. Cohen’s depth of experience can also be attributed to his position leading operations and finance at Zenith Data Systems. Mr. Cohen holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Union College in Schenectady, New York and a Master's of Business Administration in Finance and Marketing from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business.
